This guide is based on a browser-recorded walkthrough in the rebuilt DrillerDB console. When a step can send, submit, export, or change account access, the guide calls out the review boundary.
Time & Payroll is the office review layer around daily time tracking. Use the Overview for current hours, Weekly Review for approvals and payroll export readiness, Time Off for requests and balances, and Settings for overtime, lunch, and time-off policy controls. This guide is read-only and stops before creating entries, approving time, exporting payroll, requesting time off, or saving policy changes.
Quick Start
- Open Timecards and use the top navigation to move between overview, weekly review, time off, and settings.
- Review daily entries and weekly totals before approving or exporting anything.
- Open Weekly Review to inspect submitted entries and the daily detail panel.
- Open Time Off to review request status without approving or denying until the office has checked the request.
- Open Settings to confirm overtime, lunch, and time-off policy context before payroll export.
Step-by-Step: Time & Payroll
Open the Timecards workspace
Open Timecards to review the Overview, Weekly Review, Time Off, and Settings tabs, plus the daily clock-in and manual-entry entry points.
The Track Time guide covers daily clock-in and manual-entry preparation. This guide focuses on office review and payroll readiness.
Review the week before approval
Open Weekly Review to compare each employee's daily totals, regular hours, overtime, selected entries, and the approval/export controls.
Approve and Export CSV are payroll-impacting actions. Use them only after hours and exceptions have been reviewed.
Confirm payroll action boundaries
Use the Weekly Review no-data, selection, approval, and export states to confirm whether the pay period is ready. If day cells are populated, open the day detail before approving or exporting.
The local guide recording found no positive time entries for the current demo company, so it records the safe review boundary instead of creating payroll data.
Review time-off requests and balances
Open Time Off to review policy balances, pending requests, approved/denied history, and request controls without approving, denying, or submitting a request.
Check policy settings before payroll
Open Settings to review overtime thresholds, lunch deduction policy, and time-off policy settings before anyone saves payroll-affecting configuration changes.
Payroll boundary
This guide records the broader timecard review workflow: overview, weekly review, time-off queue, policy settings, and payroll-export orientation. It does not create, edit, approve, deny, clock in/out, export, or send payroll data.
Use approvals and payroll export only after the office has reviewed the pay period, employee entries, request status, policy settings, and payroll destination.
