About Us

Our Story

DrillerDB started as an idea in 2018 when Sam's Well Drilling in Wisconsin needed a better way to manage their drilling data. From those humble beginnings we've continued to add features over the years as the need arose. Learn more about our features. Now we are bringing that software to the entire United States. We are dedicated to providing you with the best drilling software on the market, so we are actively taking features ideas and suggestions. Contact us today to let us know what you need.

Our Product

DrillerDB started with the need to save time and money with water well drilling customers, files, projects, and scheduling. Let's talk about each of these.

Customers

Water well drillers have up to 3 main stakeholders for every project: the Homeowner, Builder, and Pump Installer. Of course, each project may not have all three, but it can still quickly become hard to manage the contact information for these different groups.

DrillerDB allows a driller to add the info for each of these stakeholders to one project or many. That information can then be easily referenced when viewing project information. You can also view the different projects associated with them.

Files

Each project has multiple files associated with it, from the utility clearance to invoicing. These files can easily get overwhelming and hard to find years later.

DrillerDB has a system that lets you upload files to your project that can be easily viewed, downloaded, or emailed to your clients.

Projects

One of the key struggles with being a water well driller is handling projects that are very far apart with a unique ingress/egress situation at each location.

DrillerDB has a system to manage project site details, locations, estimated costs, drill types, assigned employees, and much more.

This lets you easily at a glance see where your projects are, what status they are at, and when the best time is to start drilling.

Scheduling

Directly related is the issue of figuring out the best sequence of projects to drill. The last thing you want to be doing is to drive an extra 40 miles every day, costing you fuel and time.

DrillerDB will help you visualize your projects and assign them to drillers with our innovative scheduling feature. This lets you see all your open jobs, all your drillers, and map the best route for each rig.

Two (or three!) residential wells a day? It's no problem with DrillerDB.

Water well drilling is a specific niche with a few factors that aren't well accounted for in most project software:
  • Handling custom pdf generation of government forms
  • Scheduling projects based on drill site status (wet accessible, footage quoted, project state)
  • Geospatial tracking of assets and projects
  • Natively handling multiple stakeholders (owner, general contractor, pump installer)
  • Most other software is overbuilt around other features that aren't relevant to drillers
DrillerDB also has a driller app that reports the drilling process and well details directly to the office so paperwork can begin immediately.
