Which DrillerDB App Am I In?
DrillerDB runs two apps against the same account and the same data:
- The console, at console.drillerdb.com.
- The classic app, at app.drillerdb.com.
Your work is safe in either one. They read the same projects, the same customers, and the same invoices.
Which one your account uses
Your company belongs on the console if any of these is true:
- Someone created the company through sign-up on the website.
- The company came from a DepthMap subscription.
- The company was created by a purchase through Stripe.
- Someone claimed a quote, and the claim link created the company.
- An admin turned on the console preview for your user.
Companies that predate those paths stay on the classic app until someone moves them.
Where the Sign In link goes
The Sign In link on drillerdb.com opens the console sign-in page. If your account still uses the classic app, the console tells you so and sends you to the classic sign-in page with your email filled in. You enter your password there, once.
Why a sign-in can move you
If your account belongs on the console and you sign in at the classic app, DrillerDB sends you to the console sign-in page.
That is expected, and nothing is wrong with your account. The account decides where you belong, so a browser that has opened the classic app for months does not change the answer.
If your account does not belong on the console, signing in at the classic app keeps you there. You might see a note offering the console. You do not have to take it.
If you think you are in the wrong app
Sign in at the address for the app you expect:
- The console is at console.drillerdb.com.
- The classic app is at app.drillerdb.com.
If a sign-in still sends you somewhere you did not expect, write to support@drillerdb.com. Tell us the address you used and the address you landed on. The two together identify the rule that moved you.
