Getting started with DrillerDB is quick and easy. This guide walks you through creating your account, setting up your company, and inviting your team.

Sign Up Options
DrillerDB offers two convenient ways to create your account:

Google Sign-In (Recommended)
The fastest way to get started is with Google authentication:
- Visit app.drillerdb.com
- Click "Sign in with Google"
- Select your Google account
- Grant DrillerDB permission to access your basic profile
- Complete your company setup

- Quick one-click authentication
- No password to remember
- Enhanced security with Google's authentication
- Automatic account verification
Google Sign-In is recommended for most users. It's faster, more secure, and eliminates the need to remember another password.
Email & Password
Prefer traditional login? Create an account with email:
- Visit app.drillerdb.com
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Verify your email address
- Complete your company setup
Password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Mix of letters and numbers recommended
- Stored securely with modern encryption
Company Setup
After creating your account, you'll configure your company settings:
Basic Information
Set up your company profile:
- Company Name - Your business name as it appears on invoices
- Address - Physical business address
- Phone & Email - Primary contact information
- Website - Your company website (optional)
Business Settings
Configure operational preferences:
- Time Zone - Set your local time zone for scheduling
- Date Format - Choose your preferred date display
- Currency - Set billing currency
- Company Logo - Upload your logo for invoices and reports
Initial Configuration
Choose your plan and features:
- Select subscription tier (Basic or Enterprise)
- Enable optional modules (Equipment, Inventory, Lab - availability varies by brand)
- Set up billing information
- Configure notification preferences
User Roles & Permissions
DrillerDB has four user roles with different access levels:

Admin
Full system access including:
- Company settings and billing
- User management
- All project operations

Office
Office staff access:
- Create and manage projects
- Customer database

- Cannot modify company settings
Field
Field crew access:
- View assigned projects
- Submit daily logs and reports
- Upload photos and documents
- GPS check-ins
- Limited to field operations only
User
Basic read-only access:
- View projects assigned to them
- Access basic reports
- No editing capabilities
Choose user roles carefully. Admin users have full access to billing information, company settings, and can delete data.
Inviting Team Members
Add your team after initial setup:
- Navigate to Settings in the sidebar
- Click Users & Permissions
- Click Invite User
- Enter their email address
- Select their role (Admin, Office, Field, or User)
- Click Send Invitation
The team member will receive an email with instructions to create their account and join your company.
Troubleshooting
Can't Sign In with Google
If Google Sign-In isn't working:
- Ensure pop-ups are enabled for app.drillerdb.com
- Try clearing your browser cache
- Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Check that cookies are enabled
Didn't Receive Verification Email
If you don't see the verification email:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Wait 5-10 minutes (emails can be delayed)
- Contact support@drillerdb.com for assistance
Account Linking
If you previously created an account with email and later try to sign in with Google using the same email address, DrillerDB will send you a verification email to link the accounts. Check your email and click the verification link to complete the linking process.
Forgot Password
Reset your password anytime:
- Click "Forgot Password?" on the sign-in page
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for the reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
- Sign in with your new password
Security Features
DrillerDB uses industry-standard security:
- HTTPS/TLS Encryption - All data transmitted securely
- CSRF Protection - Cross-site request forgery prevention
- Session Management - Automatic timeout for inactive sessions
- Secure Password Storage - Passwords encrypted with bcrypt
