Monthly Reports

Automated and on-demand monthly company performance reports

Monthly Reports

DrillerDB generates monthly performance reports that summarize the previous month's activity across sales, production, financials, field operations, and team usage. Reports are emailed automatically and archived for long-term tracking.

Quick Start: Generate or view a report

  1. Open Reports, then open Monthly Reports.
  2. Review the report history - each row shows its delivery status (sent, failed, or not emailed).
  3. Click any report to open the full HTML summary; save it as PDF from your browser if you want a copy.
  4. Admins can pick a month in Generate & send a report, optionally add recipients, and click Generate & Send.

Reports are retained indefinitely, so you can compare month-over-month and year-over-year at any time. The history list refreshes on its own while a freshly generated report is still sending.

How reports are generated

Automatically - reports go out on the 1st of each month (early morning) for the previous month, for companies with monthly reports enabled. They are emailed to all admin and office users.

On demand - admins can generate a report for any of the last 12 months from the Generate & send a report panel on the Monthly Reports page. This computes the metrics for the selected month and emails the report immediately to all admin and office users, plus any additional recipients you enter (useful for shareholders or external stakeholders). It uses the same code path as the automated job, so an on-demand report matches what the cron would send.

Enabling automated monthly reports is a company-level setting. If your company isn't receiving them, ask an admin to confirm they're turned on for your account.

Delivery status

Each report in the history carries its true delivery state:

  • Sent - emailed successfully.
  • Failed - the report was computed and saved, but email delivery failed. It still appears in the history.
  • Pending - still sending; the list updates itself until the status settles.

What the report covers

The monthly report rolls up the same operational metrics the company tracks:

  • Proposals and sales - proposals created and approved, and the resulting close rate.
  • Project activity - projects completed, total well footage, and average project duration.
  • Financials - invoices sent and aggregate revenue.
  • Field operations - field report submissions, including tower up / tower down reports.
  • Documentation - images uploaded to projects.
  • Resource utilization - total system events and unique active users.
  • Inventory - transactions, quantity used, and material cost.
  • Customer growth - new customers added.
  • GPS and field tracking - crew check-ins at job sites.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving monthly reports?

  • Confirm monthly reports are enabled for your company (ask an admin).
  • Check your spam/junk folder.
  • Verify your admin/office email is correct.

A report shows "Failed"?

  • The metrics were computed and saved; only email delivery failed. Open it from the history, or regenerate it for that month.

Can't find a report?

  • Open Reports > Monthly Reports and scroll the history. Reports exist from when the feature was first enabled or first generated on demand.
