Field Access
The DrillerDB native iPhone and Android apps are built for field workers who need project information, reporting tools, and job data on site - including in areas with no cell signal. The apps work offline first and sync automatically when you reconnect.
Quick Start: Field Worker Setup
- Download DrillerDB from the App Store or Google Play
- Log in with your DrillerDB credentials
- Allow location permissions when prompted
- Open today's assigned jobs (available offline)
- Tap any job to see details and navigate
Tap any address in DrillerDB to launch navigation in your phone's maps app for turn-by-turn directions to the job site.

These features work offline. Anything you record without signal is stored on your device and syncs automatically once you reconnect.
Project Information Access
Field workers can access complete project details from their devices, and cached jobs stay available offline:
Project Details - View well specifications, customer information, drilling parameters, and project notes.
Well Diagrams - View detailed well diagrams with formation data, casing information, and completion details.
Customer Contact - Access customer contact information and history. Tap phone numbers to call or addresses to get directions.
Project History - Review previous work orders, service reports, and activity logs.
Field Reporting
Submit field reports from your device - offline or online:
Tower Up/Down Reports - Log when drilling rigs arrive and depart. Reports capture GPS location, timestamp, and equipment details.
Daily Activity Logs - Record daily activities, progress updates, and notes, including drilling depth, formations encountered, and any issues or delays.
Photo Documentation - Capture photos and attach them to reports. Photos are tagged with GPS coordinates and timestamps.
Equipment Usage - Log equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs.
GPS Check-Ins
GPS-based check-ins for job site tracking:
Location Verification - Check in at job sites with GPS capture. Office staff can see field crew locations once the data syncs.
Automated Tracking - GPS check-ins can trigger customer notifications, update project status, and log time.
Photo Upload and Documentation
Photo Capture - Take photos with your device and attach them to the project record. Photos are compressed to save space and bandwidth.
Photo Organization - Photos are organized by project, date, and location. Add captions and notes to each image.
Before/After Documentation - Capture before and after photos to document site conditions, well completions, or equipment installations.
Offline Work and Syncing
The native apps are designed for the field:
Works Offline - Open a job while you have signal to cache it, then keep working in dead zones. Well logs, photos, GPS check-ins, daily logs, and time entries all record offline.
Automatic Sync - When your device reconnects, DrillerDB syncs everything to the cloud in the background. Your office sees the updates on the web console, and multiple crew members can work the same job from their own devices.
Mobile Schedule Access
Daily Schedule - View assigned jobs for the day, including locations, customer information, and special instructions.
Turn-by-Turn Navigation - Tap any job site address to launch navigation in your maps app.
Schedule Updates - Get notified when schedules change or new jobs are assigned.
Troubleshooting
GPS location not working?
- Enable location services in your phone settings
- Allow DrillerDB location access when prompted
- Move outdoors for a better GPS signal
Data not syncing?
- Confirm the device has a connection
- Reopen the app to trigger a sync
- Large photos finish uploading once you're on a solid connection
Schedule not showing jobs?
- Pull down to refresh
- Confirm the jobs are assigned to you
