Real-Time Features

Real-time capabilities, company context, and connection behavior

Real-Time Features

DrillerDB includes real-time capabilities for notifications and schedule refresh events when you are signed in with a valid company context.

Real-time WebSocket connections accept a valid positive company id from the signed-in session. Delivery still depends on connectivity and users being in the same company context.

Quick Start: Validate Real-Time Access

  1. Sign in to DrillerDB
  2. Open Real-Time workflows (notifications or scheduling)
  3. Perform a test change from one session
  4. Confirm another session receives the update
  5. If not, refresh both sessions and confirm both users are in the same company context

Operational Notes

  • Real-time behavior is company-context dependent.
  • Internet connectivity is required for live delivery.
  • Manual refresh remains the fallback for stale views.

Troubleshooting

No live updates

  • Confirm both sessions have a valid company context
  • Refresh both sessions
  • Verify both users are in the same company context

Updates appear only after refresh

  • One session may be disconnected or in a different company context
  • Event delivery may have been missed; refresh restores current state
