Rolodex Overview
The Rolodex is DrillerDB's central customer database, providing a comprehensive view of all your contacts including property owners, builders, and pump installers. This powerful tool helps you quickly find and manage customer information across your entire operation.
Rolodex List
Accessing the Rolodex
Navigate to the Rolodex from the main menu to view your complete customer list. The default view displays 100 contacts at a time, with automatic loading as you scroll down the page.
Search Functionality
The search bar at the top of the Rolodex allows you to quickly find specific contacts by typing any part of their information. The search queries multiple fields simultaneously including name, business name, address, city, phone number, and email address. Results appear in real-time as you type, with a 250-millisecond delay to ensure smooth performance.
Sorting Options
You can sort your contact list in two ways. The default sort orders contacts alphabetically by name, making it easy to find someone when you know their name. Alternatively, you can sort by last updated to see your most recently modified contacts at the top of the list.
Contact Type Filtering
The type filter dropdown lets you narrow your view to specific contact categories. Choose from All Contacts to see everyone, Owners for property owners and primary customers, Builders for construction companies and contractors, or Pump Installers for pump installation partners. This filtering helps you quickly locate the right type of contact for your current task.
Viewing Contact Details
Each row in the Rolodex displays essential information including the contact number, type, name, city, address, phone, and email. Click on any contact row to open their full detail page where you can view complete information, edit details, see project history, and access billing records.
Infinite Scrolling
The Rolodex uses infinite scrolling to handle large contact databases efficiently. As you scroll down the page, additional contacts load automatically. This approach ensures fast initial load times while still providing access to your entire customer database without manual pagination.
Contact List Features
The tabular layout makes it easy to scan through your contacts quickly. The numbered rows help you keep track of your position in the list, and the type column provides at-a-glance identification of each contact's role. All contact information is displayed in a clean, organized format that works well on both desktop and tablet devices.
Performance Optimization
The Rolodex is designed to handle thousands of contacts while maintaining fast performance. Search queries are optimized to return results quickly, and the pagination system ensures that only the contacts you need are loaded at any given time. This efficient design means you can maintain a large customer database without sacrificing speed or usability.
