Current Conditions
View current weather conditions for any job site or service area. The dashboard displays temperature, precipitation, wind speed and direction, humidity, and current weather conditions. This real-time data helps field supervisors make immediate decisions about continuing or suspending operations.
Current conditions refresh automatically, ensuring the displayed information remains accurate throughout the day. Teams can check weather before dispatching crews, monitor conditions during operations, and verify when weather improves enough to resume suspended activities.
Multi-Day Forecasts
Access extended weather forecasts showing expected conditions for upcoming days. Multi-day forecasts support scheduling decisions, helping you plan work during favorable weather windows and avoid scheduling outdoor operations during predicted storms or extreme temperatures.
Forecast data includes high and low temperatures, precipitation probability, wind forecasts, and general weather conditions. This information enables proactive schedule adjustments, moving weather-sensitive work to days with better forecast conditions.
Location-Based Weather
Weather information is specific to job site locations. View weather for any project location or use weather data for your service area headquarters. Location-specific weather ensures relevance, especially important in regions where weather varies significantly across relatively short distances.
The system can display weather for multiple locations simultaneously, which is helpful when coordinating crews across different service areas. Compare weather conditions across locations to optimize crew assignments and equipment deployment.
Weather Widgets
Weather information appears as compact widgets throughout DrillerDB where relevant. Project views show current weather at the job site location. Scheduling screens display weather forecasts for scheduled work dates. These contextual weather displays put information where it is needed without requiring navigation to separate weather screens.
Weather widgets update automatically, maintaining accuracy without manual refreshes. Hovering over or clicking weather widgets provides expanded detail including hourly forecasts and additional weather parameters.
Historical Weather Data
Access historical weather data to understand past conditions during specific projects or time periods. Historical weather helps explain project delays, supports insurance claims related to weather damage, and provides context for analyzing past project performance.
Historical data includes recorded temperatures, precipitation amounts, and significant weather events. This information documents weather conditions that impacted operations, supporting accurate project retrospectives and dispute resolution.
Precipitation Risk Information
The dashboard displays precipitation-based risk assessments for job sites. Risk information is based on current and forecast precipitation data, helping you understand ground conditions and site accessibility concerns.
Precipitation risk information helps you make informed decisions about dispatching crews, scheduling work, and planning site access. The risk assessment considers both immediate precipitation and longer-term ground saturation patterns.
Mobile Weather Access
Field crews access weather information through mobile devices while at job sites. Mobile weather access helps crews make real-time decisions about continuing work, securing equipment, or taking weather-related safety precautions.
Mobile weather displays are optimized for quick viewing on smaller screens, presenting essential information efficiently. Crews can check current conditions, short-term forecasts, and active weather warnings without navigating through multiple screens.
Weather Data for Planning
Weather forecast information is available for review when making scheduling and operational decisions. By checking the weather dashboard before finalizing schedules or dispatching crews, you can make more informed decisions about work timing.
Weather data helps you identify potential conflicts between scheduled work and poor weather conditions. This information allows you to proactively adjust plans, reducing wasted dispatches and improving operational efficiency through manual schedule adjustments based on weather forecasts.
