Managing Your DepthMap Subscription

What DepthMap costs, when your card is charged, and how to update or cancel

Managing Your DepthMap Subscription

DepthMap is a self-serve subscription. You sign up at drillerdb.com/well-map/sign-up. When the signup is able to sign you in, it takes you straight to the map with your full well records unlocked. When it cannot, you get a Subscription Active message with a Go to Login button instead - sign in there with the password you just set, or with your existing DrillerDB account if you already had one. Your billing lives in the console under Settings > Billing.

What You Pay, and When

DepthMap is $9.99 a month, and the first $9.99 is charged as soon as you confirm payment at signup. You are not charged at the end of a trial period, because there is no trial period.

DepthMap has no free trial. DrillerDB does advertise a 14-day free trial, and it applies to the core DrillerDB plans: Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. It does not apply to DepthMap. The two products sign up on different pages and bill differently.

This is the exact wording you will see at the card step before you confirm:

You will be charged $9.99 today after confirming payment, then $9.99 monthly. No free trial.

Cancel anytime. 30-day money-back guarantee.

QuestionAnswer
When am I first charged?Immediately after you confirm payment at signup.
Is there a trial? No. The 14-day trial is for core DrillerDB plans, not DepthMap.
What happens after that?$9.99 each month until you cancel.
Can I cancel?Yes, any time. See How to Cancel Your Subscription below.
What if I change my mind? The card step offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email support@drillerdb.com and we will sort it out.

Where DepthMap Billing Lives

StepWhere
Sign updrillerdb.com/well-map/sign-up (secure Stripe checkout)
After signupStraight to the map if the signup signed you in, otherwise a Subscription Active message with a Go to Login button
Manage or cancelConsole Settings > Billing

DepthMap accounts see a streamlined console - the map, plus Settings and Help. Everything you need for billing is on the Billing tab of Settings.

View Your Subscription

  1. Sign in at console.drillerdb.com
  2. Open Settings from the sidebar
  3. Click the Billing tab

The Billing & Subscription page shows a Current Plan card with:

What You SeeWhat It Means
Plan name and status badgeYour current subscription and its state
Next billing: [date]When your card will be charged next (active plans)
Access until: [date]When access ends (if a cancellation is scheduled)

Your payment method is also managed on this page.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. On the Current Plan card, click Cancel subscription
  3. A dialog titled "Cancel your DrillerDB subscription?" appears with an optional box to tell us why you are cancelling
  4. Click the confirm button to cancel, or Keep subscription to back out

After you confirm, the page shows: "Your subscription is scheduled to cancel. Access continues until the end of the current period." The status badge switches to cancel scheduled, and the Cancel subscription button goes away because there is nothing left to cancel.

You keep full DepthMap access until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges are made after you cancel.

Don't see a Cancel button? It usually means your cancellation is already scheduled (the badge shows cancel scheduled) or the plan is not in a cancellable state. If you expected to be able to cancel and cannot, email support@drillerdb.com.

What Happens After You Cancel

QuestionAnswer
Do I lose access right away? No. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Will I be charged again? No. No more charges after you cancel.
Can I still use the map?Yes, until your access-until date.
Is my account deleted? No. Your account remains. Contact support if you want it removed.

Updating Your Payment Method

If your card expires or a payment fails (a Past Due status), open Settings > Billing and update the card on file. The page will prompt you to add a working card when a payment has failed.

Resubscribing

If your access has ended and you want DepthMap again, sign up again at drillerdb.com/well-map/sign-up, or email support@drillerdb.com and we will help you restart.

Need Help?

For anything you cannot resolve on the Billing page, email support@drillerdb.com and include your account email so we can look up your subscription.
