DrillerDB Data & Research
The DrillerDB well-records dataset is available at a few different levels, from the open aggregate statistics anyone can cite today to reviewed extracts for named research or commercial use. Every level beyond the open aggregates is reviewed individually before anything is shared.
The record counts and coverage statistics on drillerdb.com/data and drillerdb.com/data/well-statistics are free to cite and reproduce with attribution, under the terms on the data license page. No request is needed for this level.
By email request, we can put together a state-level fact sheet or a limited historical sample beyond what is published on the data hub. These are aggregated or stripped of any driller or owner fields before they go out.
Named researchers and agencies can apply for a research extract. These are granted under terms: non-commercial use, no redistribution, and no derived company-level or driller-activity intelligence. Tell us your institution, the research question, and the scope of data you need.
Commercial use of data beyond the open aggregates is reviewed case by case. Contact us with what you are building and we will discuss terms.
